About me

Hello, my name is Kellie. 
 
 I am a native English, fully qualified Children's Teacher, Forest School Trainer and Early Years Specialist. I am also a certified English Language and Jolly Phonics Teacher. 
I was raised in England where I established a nursery and holiday clubs before moving to Spain in 2016.
I have a real passion for teaching and have spent the past 19 years working with children of all ages and abilities. I have worked with children with Autism for over 17 years and have a vast amount of SEND experience and knowledge. I have studied child psychology and currently I am working towards becoming a ADHD specialist which is something close to my heart with myself and my children all having ADHD.

Since moving to Spain I have worked in some of the top international schools teaching children through the English curriculum. I then established The Happy English School in 2020 and have taught children English as a second language and all the subjects of the British Curriculum both face to face and online all around the world.
One of my main contracts for the past 3 years has been working for Social Services educating children who can not access school due to SEND and Anxieties. Here I teach children with Autism, ADHD, Selective Mutism, Anxiety, Phobias, Cerebral palsy, Depression, PTST and children dealing with loss on a daily basis.

I believe in adapting the environment and teaching style to suit the individual child and creating a world where they feel able, valued and confident to learn and grow. I use a lot of play based and child interest based learning where we have fun while we learn.

This is one reason I have now established The Happy English Farm School, where I can unite my passion of teaching and love for the outdoors and animals. I believe that this is a fantastic environment for any child to grow up in and learn to become independent, free spirited, resilient and confident young adults.
